目标:本命题旨在从化工新材料的角度探索解决方案,进一步提升锂电池的安全性。

25. Solutions for safety lithium battery

Background: In recent years, fire accidents of electric vehicles are increasing. According to incomplete statistics, in 2020, there was more than 100 fire accidents of electric vehicles in China, and most of fire accidents were caused by thermal runaway of lithium batteries. Therefore, fire safety of lithium battery has been paid more and more attention. 

Targets: This topic aims to explore solutions from the perspective of chemical  and new materials to further improve the safety of lithium batteries.


26.锂电池塑料与溶剂的回收与循环利用

背景描述:随着全球电动汽车保有量的快速增加,电池的回收已经成为一项重要课题。

目标:除了回收具有较高经济价值的镍钴等金属材料外,从环保角度出发,对电池中使用的塑料进行回收再生,可以进一步提升塑料的利用价值;同时锂电池电解液溶剂用量大且对环境有危害,因此亟需合理的模式处理这些溶剂并循环利用,推动电动车产业循环经济建设。

26. Recovery and recycling of plastics and solvents from lithium batteries

Background: Following the fast growth of electric vehicles in the world, battery recycling has become more and more important. 

Targets: In addition to the recycling of metal materials such as nickel and cobalt with high economic value, from environmental protection perspective, the recycling of plastics used in batteries can further improve the utilization value. At the same time, the consumption of electrolyte solvent in lithium battery is huge and it’s harmful to the environment, so it is necessary to deal with these solvents in a proper mode and recycle them for reuse to promote circular economy of electric vehicle industry.

背景描述:电池模组轻量化是提升能量密度的关键因素之一。目前电池主要部件依然以金属材料为主,以”塑代钢”的应用在电池体系中的比例较低。

27. Lightweight design of electric vehicles and battery modules

Background: Lightweight of battery modules is one of the key factors to improve the energy density. At present, the main components of batteries are still mainly made of metal materials, and the application of “plastic instead of steel” in the battery system has a low proportion. 

Targets: So how to do better in the lightweight design of batteries is our next task.


28.固态电池技术突破及商业化

背景描述:与传统锂电池相比,固态电池因其更安全高效是公认的下一代电池。

目标:聚合物固态电池能量密度低,充电倍率较差, 硫化物固态电池对生产环境要求苛刻,氧化物固态电池的电解质的柔韧性较差,因此亟需开发性能优异并且可商业化的固态电池。

28. Breakthrough and commercialization of solid-state battery technology 

Background: Compared with the traditional lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries is recognized as the next generation because of its more safe and effective.

Targets: So far, energy density and charge ratio of polymer type solid state battery is low,  production environment of sulfide type solid-state batteries is demanding, and the electrolyte flexibility of oxide type solid battery is poor, therefore development and commercialization of high performance solid-state batteries is to be expected.
