Background

CSRtech is initiated by Orange in 2017 to bring technological innovation to solve challenges in CSR. The epidemic challenge of 2020 illustrates just how vital and interconnected social and environmental issues are, and the critical role that business and technology can play in building a more sustainable and inclusive society.

This year inspirited by UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Orange, Saint-Gobain, OPPO, and Deutsche Telekom together organize 4th CSRtech Innovation Summit with key partner Impact Hub Shanghai.

Objectives

Our objectives as corporate innovation and industrial alliance is to help create positive and enduring change in the world.

Develop insights for shaping environmental sustainability

Promote the concept and best practice of CSR

Empower every individual to drive the change

Build a platform to help partners address multiple challenges through a combination of direct collaboration and broad sharing

Innovate to implement ESG strategies that increase competitiveness, add value, and drive positive social change

Utilize innovative technology to tackle social challenges

Three Challenges

Startups will propose product/solution to solve problems of three challenges.

Protect our planet

Shift to green energy, reduce carbon emissions, decarbonization transformation and carbon offsetting

Make products safe, durable and resource-efficient, do more and better with less, increase resource efficiency and promote sustainable lifestyles to reuse and recycle

Drive sustainable business

Build green business, eliminate waste by reusing, recycling and refurbishment of equipment, products, machinery and infrastructure for a longer duration; manage energy consumption, water, waste & e-waste and pollution prevention; access to affordable, clean and green energy

Create a more sustainable and responsible busines model and drive sustainable business practices; improve energy efficiency, achieve higher levels of business value and profitability; deliver significant positive financial performance

Measure CSR requirements with a structured and continuous improvement process and work with their clients and suppliers on CSR/ESG challenges. Strengthen production and management capability with technology

Value everyone’s wellbeing

Provide universal and affordable access to internet and digital services for everyone; drive socioeconomic inclusion for persons with disabilities and forcibly displaced populations

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all; improve living and occupational safety, and emergency preparedness; access to affordable and clean resource (food, water and energy…); make cities and communities more sustainable and shape green lifestyle

Work toward gender, racial and social equity; ensure no child labors & protect juvenile workers, no forced labor, no discrimination, equal-employment opportunities

Expected ideas include but are not limited to:

Innovations that could reduce CSR risks, address sustainable and new challenges such as carbon neutrality, circular economy, sustainable consumption, digital inclusion, increase corporate/factory compliance capacity, transparency, and accountability

Initiatives that promote information collection, systematic management, prevention, and control of CSR risks in the supply chain and business

We are looking forward to innovative solutions to solve the above challenges through new technologies (AI, cloud, big data, robotic, VR/AR/MR, biotech, etc.) or new ways of open platform collaboration (social dialogue, good practice sharing, etc.).
